Contractor insurance program
Though FinneyTaylor provides full insurance coverage for its temporary employees, this coverage is not extended to independent contractors. Most contracts do not require independent contractors to have insurance coverage, but that does not mean that you are not exposed to risk. One of the greatest liabilities in becoming an independent contractor (incorporated) is not having the insurance needed to cover the financial risks involved.
In the past, any commercially available insurance has been virtually unaffordable and many contractors were left on the hook for mistakes, injuries, and property damage that occur while on contract.
FinneyTaylor Consulting Group has partnered with ACSESS and LMS PROLINK to offer both Comprehensive General Liability and Errors & Omissions insurance coverage at affordable rates [underwritten by ENCON Group Inc.]:
Comprehensive General Liability [CGL] This coverage protects the business against claims of bodily injury, property damage, personal injury (including slander and libel) and advertising injury.
Errors & Omissions [E&O]
This coverage is for bodily injury and property damage arising out of professional services
Provides coverage for compensatory damages as well as punitive damages where insurable by law
Provides liability against damages resulting from a delay in the performance of any contract or agreement due to an error or omission on the part of the professional
The rates for IT professionals are $21 per month for $2MM Liability; $34 per month for $5MM liability [plus applicable taxes].
This coverage is available for as long as you are contracting with FinneyTaylor Consulting Group [please note: this insurance only covers work done with FinneyTaylor, it does not cover independent work or contracts with other staffing companies].
