Job Description :Our client in Edmonton is looking to hire qualified Business Intelligence Analysts who will work with Information Management team and in partnership with business stakeholders, the BI Analyst will utilize data from source systems to populate data assets and build attractive, intuitive and insightful information products. The candidate will ideally exhibit a combination of business acumen and data analysis skills while also being creative, and adept in visual design and development.

Must Have Primary Skills :
Minimum 2-year diploma in Computer Science, Bachelor's Degree in Advanced Mathematics/Statistics is highly preferred 
Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in data warehouse/data mart design and development
Excellent query/data manipulation skills, especially utilizing Structured Query Language (SQL).  
Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in database and/or reporting environments incorporating Microsoft SQL Server technology 
Experience with ETL processes/tools, SAS Data Integration studio 
Experience in visual design and development utilizing Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar software 
Strong understanding of OLAP/multi-dimensional data organization techniques and one or more related languages (e.g. DAX; VizQL).

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

• Education/experience in Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence is considered an asset
• Strong organizational and analytical skills. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills, including Technical writing ability 
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Proven Experience In :

• Develop complex, mission critical reports, projects and applications 
• Build Extract, Transform, Load processes using SAS Data Integrator based on a logical model or design 
• Deliver professional quality of data analysis and ETL processes to reduce the high consequence of error
