Job Description :Our Client in Edmonton is seeking a Release Management Manager with the ability to  lead their team that controls and coordinates application deployments into production and non-production environments. 

Must Have Primary Skills :

• Technical Diploma/Degree in Computer Software Development  
• Eight (8) + years IS Managerial experience 
• Expert Knowledge of software applications in a highly structured IS environment and  strong understanding of the SDLC – coding, testing, release, user acceptance, production
• Expert knowledge of release management practices and awareness of SOA and tiered application architecture. 
• Experience with Team Foundation Services (TFS) and flow of software change tracking

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

• Good communicator and leadership capabilities
• Self motivated with an ambitious attitude and open to change  
• knowledge of data privacy and security practices, database design and file management techniques. 
• Knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards.

Proven Experience In :

• Managing all releases utilizing Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) tool to track deployable files.
• Building and reporting  release management key performance indicators and manages risks within the release management area.
