Job Description :Our Calgary-based client is looking for an intermediate to Sr Product UI/UX Designer, for a permanent position based in Calgary. (remote welcome).

Must Have Primary Skills :

• 5+ years of experience in a Product Design role, with products that are actively in use
• Experience with the end-to-end design process, including Research and Discovery, Interaction design, Visual design (wireframes, and high fidelity mocks) Rapid Prototyping / Working Designs
• Has some Front-End Development experience 
• Can clearly articulate the thinking and strategy behind your decisions
• Analytical and guided by data (both qualitative and qualitative)
• Has a demonstrable portfolio, preferably showcasing mobile and desktop design experiences, and highlighting competencies in problem-solving and leading a project from discovery through to implementation
• Enjoys Speed/Pragmatism (understanding the constraints of business speeds, multiple projects, not able to do things waterfall, familiar with scope compromise to be agile) 
• Is able to balance business needs/objectives with user goals 
• Comfortable and eager to get first hand insight from end users (whether B2C or B2B) 
• Analytical and used to high-volume applications where behavioural data can drive iteration and decisions 
• Can influence behaviour with design, and not just facilitate things users already want to do

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

• Experience in financial technology or banking
• Both B2C and B2B software design experience
• Awareness of behaviour psychology and behavioural economics principles, and use it in your designs
• A solid understanding of front-end development techniques including CSS, HTML, Javascripts (TailWind / TailWind UI)

Proven Experience In :

• Responsible for delivering an exceptional user experience to stakeholders, providing outstanding design leadership that drives intuitive interaction and nudges users towards responsible use of client's products. 
• Effectively and efficiently communicate with and get inputs from stakeholders.
• Responsible for surface-level tasks (UI design, typography, colour, layout), structural-level tasks (workflows, individual interactions, patterns, blueprints, guiding principles) and strategy-level tasks (research, requirement gathering, discovery and solution space mapping, behavioural data analysis)
