Job Description :Our Calgary-based client is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer (C, C++, Python, Azure/AWS) to join their team for this permanent opportunity.

Must Have Primary Skills :
Technologist or BS/MS in engineering, computer science or equivalent relevant experience
5+ years of experience in embedded systems, firmware, hardware or related fields
Working Knowledge of C, C++, Python, IoT Frameworks like Microsoft Azure / AWS
Experience developing IoT devices
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Extensive experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Experience in SCRUM and Agile methodologies to accomplish tasks and complete workflows 

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :
Individuals with extracurricular experience demonstrating interest in electrical or mechanical design
Past start-up experience considered a bonus
Experience in primary industries such as oil and gas with a focus on technologies deployed in remote environments

Proven Experience In :
Work closely with hardware engineers and software teams to develop designs for new products
Possess strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities with attention to detail and a quality-oriented work
Assist with development, enhancement and maintenance of the existing application firmware components
Develop software design documentation for software projects
Identify and solve complex technical and/or programmatic problems within schedule, budget and resource constraints
