Job Description :Our Toronto-based client is looking for a Network Administrator (Linux) to join their team for a full time, permanent role.
Must Have Primary Skills :
- 5-10 years IT systems and network administration experience, with extensive understanding of TCP/IP, routing, firewall, and VPN technologies
- 5-10 years’ experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory administration
- 5-10 years’ experience supporting OEM hardware, including server, storage, desktop, laptop hardware, and working with OEM vendors for support
- 2-3 years’ experience supporting Microsoft-365 resources, including Exchange, and MS-Teams

Cisco CCNA or above- A+, or current Microsoft Certifications
- Experience with Data Storage technologies, including ISCSI SAN / NAS Storage technologies
Proven Experience In :
- Become the primary on-site IT Administrator
- Provide Linux, IT support and MS-365 administration for our head-office team in Toronto
- Receive, configure, and deploy linux CentOS Debian Servers, user laptops, and peripherals, based on secure corporate standards-
- Use your proven Proxmox/VMware, MS-HYPER-V, Windows Server, and Microsoft network skills (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) to ensure a secure, and stable internal landscape
- Oversee scheduled outages for Windows software patching for the site (WSUS), and coordinate patching of all software platforms, including Oracle, SQL-Server, VMware, JAVA, Apache, (and others)
- Create and manage Active Directory user accounts, profiles, and standard GPO-based system configurations
- Create and allocate MS-365 resources, including Azure-AD, Exchange, MS-Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Incorporate methodical network troubleshooting skills, including strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, corporate firewalls, and VPN technologies
- Provide printer support, and oversee preventative maintenance with external vendors
- Monitor backups, including cloud-based proxmox
- Backup resources
- Provide IT support for formal IT projects and initiatives involving Carina or Calgary-based BU’s
- Support ISO 27001 compliance and certification efforts for all BU’s
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including system configurations, and standard operating procedures for all environments
- Provide exemplary customer service skills in all your dealings with BU staff and management
