Job Description :Our Edmonton-based client is looking for a Project Manager-RIMS
for a 1-year contract immediately.
Must Have Primary Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree, experienced in
project management (including end-to-end project management and provision of
authoritative, expert advice and client services at a high level)
- Has worked with Research
Information Management Systems (RIMS software) in the past, or familiar with
similar systems.
- Worked on gathering data for research,
to be used in research analytics & metrics for benchmarking activities nationally
& internationally
- Knowledgeable in the planning, organizational
and protocol of allocating resources and meeting deadlines in a large, complex
organizational structure.
- Effective team player with proven
relationship management and consulting skills, including the ability to
interact, influence and negotiate with a variety of customers and stakeholders
- Analytical, critical thinking,
creative, and conceptual skills including demonstrated ability to quickly
assimilate new concepts and information and deliver positive, innovative
solutions
- Strong and effective interpersonal
& communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Be very familiar with providing
advice and support in an effective manner, to higher management and stakeholders
- Advanced computer proficiency with
latest business management software packages and their various application
capabilities
- Ability to perform tasks on packages
like Office365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and knowledgeable in Pure end users
where needed.
- Possess strong interpersonal
skills to extract, assess, or articulate business requirements to and from a
broad range of technical or non-technical stakeholders.
- Positive can-do attitude with the
proven ability to lead change and deliver business benefits through use of
technology and process improvement.

Proven Experience In :

Daily tasks that would be performed
would be, but not limited to daily communication with project sponsors,
prospective Pure end users, and those engaged in the technical implementation
of Pure.
- Identify requirements and desirables
from stakeholders using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys,
business process descriptions etc to meet business needs.
- Perform advanced levels of
analysis, problem solving, and research to formulate solutions to complex
business needs.
- Experienced in working closely
with testing team members, review test cases and other tasks to adequately
define the business processes.
- Manage project risk through
regular quality assurance and risk reviews.
- Track and ensure issues and action
items are addressed in a timely manner with an eye on the critical path and
interdependencies
- Develop and maintain project
records to enable effective and informed decision making. Ensure all
program-related documents and assets are complete, kept up to date, securely
stored, and are readily accessible to those with appropriate access
requirements.
- Attend meetings and discussions
with stakeholders and management on building the company’s system and
relationships. Provide insightful suggestions with proper and adequate market
research.
- Ensure that activities related to
the implementation of Pure are run in accordance with AU’s established Digital
Governance Framework, follow project methodology best practices and comply with
Digital Security standards.
- Flexibility to work independently
and in a team to ensure data quality and integrity in the research information
system.
- You are an expert in providing specialized
advice and training to senior management, staff, students, and other
stakeholders in the use of Pure.
