Job Description :Reporting
to the IT Business Relationship Manager, the Technical Writer will play a lead
role in establishing standards, best practices and rigor within the IT
division.
Must Have Primary Skills :
- Review and validate existing
documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with industry
standards.
- Design, research, create, and edit
a range of documents, including user guides and manuals, technical
specifications, training materials, user policies, and proposals, for both
print and online media.

- Create clear and detailed
implementation guides outlining the best practices for setting up and
configuring the documentation ensuring efficient utilization.
·
- Design a detailed migration plan
that provides a step-by-step roadmap for transitioning from the current data
lineage tool to the new solution, including tools, processes, and timelines.

- Act as a technical consultant to
provide insights and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
Nice To Have Secondary Skills :
- Liaise with department heads and
end users to define identify business procedures and establish documentation
needs for hardware and software.

- Organize cross-functional meetings
to align on general strategy for content and authoring of documents, ensuring
accurate and timely completion of documents.

Build
and maintain effective working relationships with process owners, SMEs, IT trainers,
business analysts and project managers
Proven Experience In :
- A university degree or college diploma in Communications or Computer
Science.
- Equivalent work experience would also be considered
- A minimum of three years of
experience as a Technical Writer.

- Hands-on technical writing and
editing experience, with specific experience in documenting information
technology software and systems
·
- Demonstrated knowledge of desktop
publishing tools, including, Adobe FrameMaker, and WebWorks ePublisher.
- Sound
knowledge of XML and HTML and various help formats
·
- Strong critical thinking,
analytical and decision-making abilities.
·
- Proven advanced computer skills;
particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom, MS Teams, social media
platforms and other technology.
