Must Have Primary Skills :Business
Intelligence in Category Management supports evidence-based decision-making by
transforming procurement and contract data into actionable insights. The role
analyzes spend, supplier, and market information to identify enhance
performance reporting, ensuring the unit has reliable, timely, and meaningful
data intelligence.
Contribute as part of a team, responsible for delivering business intelligence
capabilities to support internal and external department stakeholders’
information needs..

Post-Secondary
degree, diploma or certificate in Computer Science or related field of study.

Experience
with articulating and translating technical language for non-technical
customers both verbally and in writing.

Experience
with data concepts such as: Extract Transform Load (ETL), Operational Data
Store (ODS), Online Transaction Processing (OLTP), etc.

Experience
with presenting data in queries, dashboards, and reports in a way that is
easy to understand.

Direct
hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing advanced Power BI
solutions that transform regulated and complex datasets into actionable
insights for policy, operations and executive reporting
Experience
in creating and implementing business intelligence requirements.

Experience
with dimensional modeling techniques.
Nice To Have Secondary Skills :•
Deliver work products based on various sets of data including (but not limited
to) procurement, contracts, finance and market data.
• Work with a selection of technology products (such as SAP, Power BI, Alteryx)
that must address the ever changing
technology and increasing appetite for information from internal and external
department stakeholders.
• Must be able to work effectively with a team made up of in-house staff and
contract resources.
• Analyze data and prepare information results.
• Gather and document requirements.
• Design and construct information products.
• Capture business and technical metadata for information products.
• Gather requirements for control processes including schedule management,
status reporting, issues, risk, and change management at the program level.
• Produce deliverables within specified quality standards and timeline.
• Define and performing quality assurance on business intelligence
deliverables.
• Respond to ad-hoc information inquiries.
• Perform data analysis, data quality audits/reviews, statistical analysis and
data mining.
• Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.
• Work within a multi-vendor/staff environment.
Proven Experience In :

Ability to

Ability to
interact and communicate professionally with a diverse group.

think critically to select the most appropriate input data, modeling method,
indicated variables, and techniques.

Experience
using Microsoft SQL.

with PowerBI, PowerView, Microsoft SQL Reporting, and Analytical Services.
