Must Have Primary Skills :
Mandatory Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
2. CSC or CFA designation preferred.
3. Minimum 4 years of corporate actions processing experience within:
- Asset management
- Investment banking
- Financial institution
4. Advanced knowledge of:
- Institutional asset management
- Settlement practices
- Investment regulations
- Complex investment strategies
5. Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving abilities.
6. High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Nice To Have Secondary Skills :Preferred Qualifications
Functional knowledge of:
- SimCorp Dimension
- Aladdin
Proven Experience In :Key Responsibilities
1. Research, analyze, and validate corporate action information, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of relevant details to internal stakeholders including Portfolio Management, Treasury, Valuations, Performance, and Data teams.
2. Serve as the technical expert in the daily administration and processing of complex corporate actions, including mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, redemptions, rights offerings, and exercises across North American, EAFE, and Emerging Markets.
3. Provide daily operational oversight of trade processing activities within investment and accounting systems.
4. Manage end-to-end corporate action tracking within internal systems, including:
- Research and analysis
- Transactional processing
- Payment reconciliation
5. Communication and coordination with custodians and prime brokers
6. Develop workflows and business processes for new corporate action types and functions, ensuring effective internal controls are established and maintained.
7. Maintain robust corporate action lifecycle tracking with strong controls to mitigate risks related to missed deadlines, incorrectly booked trades, and settlement discrepancies.
8. Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key corporate action activities.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving corporate action types, industry settlement practices, and regulatory changes impacting corporate actions.
10. Act as a subject matter expert, sharing best practices and supporting team capability through knowledge transfer and collaboration.
11. Ensure operational continuity during high-volume periods, vacation coverage, and absences by providing cross-training and adequate team support.
12. Review, analyze, and validate class action information prior to preparing and filing claim forms with third-party administrators.
13. Monitor and process receipts of class action payments and allocate funds appropriately to impacted portfolios or strategies.
