Job Description :Our client is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Business Development Representative to join their team.

Must Have Primary Skills :
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 3–5 years of sales experience with demonstrated success in identifying and executing sales opportunities 
  • Experience managing and growing a book of business 
  • Strong relationship-building and client retention skills 
  • Experience in insurance, personal health, travel insurance, or group benefits is considered an asset 
  • Experience working with broker/advisor channels is an asset 
  • LLQP designation is considered an asset 
  • Must obtain provincial Accident & Sickness and Life licenses within 6 months of hire 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills 
  • Experience writing/editing proposals, presentations, and sales materials 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems 
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and team-focused Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills 
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license required

Proven Experience In :
Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell individual insurance product lines through direct and advisor distribution channels 
  • Develop new business through prospecting, networking, and community engagement 
  • Manage and grow an existing book of business while driving retention initiatives 
  • Build and strengthen relationships with advisors, brokers, and external stakeholders 
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer potential group benefit leads to internal teams 
  • Deliver product training sessions (in-person and virtual) to advisors and stakeholders 
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, seminars, and community events 
  • Participate in joint sales calls, proposals, RFPs, and presentations 
  • Monitor sales performance and provide insights on trends, KPIs, and forecasts 
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and licensing requirements 
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage pipelines, track opportunities, and document interactions 
  • Stay current on product knowledge, market trends, and competitor offerings
