Job Description :Our client is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Business Development Representative to join their team.
Must Have Primary Skills :
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience

3–5 years of sales experience with demonstrated success in identifying and executing sales opportunities

Experience managing and growing a book of business
-
Strong relationship-building and client retention skills
-
Experience in insurance, personal health, travel insurance, or group benefits is considered an asset
-
Experience working with broker/advisor channels is an asset
-
LLQP designation is considered an asset
-
Must obtain provincial Accident & Sickness and Life licenses within 6 months of hire

Strong presentation and communication skills
-
Experience writing/editing proposals, presentations, and sales materials

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems

Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and team-focused
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Valid Class 5 driver’s license required

Proven Experience In :
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell individual insurance product lines through direct and advisor distribution channels

Develop new business through prospecting, networking, and community engagement

Manage and grow an existing book of business while driving retention initiatives

Build and strengthen relationships with advisors, brokers, and external stakeholders

Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer potential group benefit leads to internal teams

Deliver product training sessions (in-person and virtual) to advisors and stakeholders

Represent the organization at trade shows, seminars, and community events

Participate in joint sales calls, proposals, RFPs, and presentations

Monitor sales performance and provide insights on trends, KPIs, and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and licensing requirements

Utilize CRM systems to manage pipelines, track opportunities, and document interactions

Stay current on product knowledge, market trends, and competitor offerings
