Job Description :Our client is looking for Project Controls Specialist to join the team in Edmonton, AB.

Must Have Primary Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline 
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or related roles 
• Demonstrated experience with Data Analytics - developing data visualizations using MS Excel, Power BI or other analytic tools  Demonstrated experience with Financial Management Systems 
• Strong understanding of project management principles and stage/gate processes. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :
Work experience in a project environment
Experience with Work and Asset Management systems
Experience or knowledge in utility or Oil & Gas construction

Proven Experience In :
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for all phases of Distribution Capital Projects
Develop and administer cost and resource-loaded project schedules
Monitor project progress and identify variances against baseline schedules
Prepare and deliver accurate cost reports, including earned vs. burned analysis, project cost and schedule metrics (CPI and SPI), and earned value reports.
Monitor and update project schedules, milestones, and completion timetables.
Generate resource availability vs. requirement reports based on the Distribution Annual Capital Plan; provide monthly reports comparing actual vs. planned hours by resource type
Liaise with key stakeholders to obtain relevant information and ensure project schedules are current, supporting strategic decision-making. Update and communicate the annual capital plan monthly to all stakeholders.
Prepare and distribute regular project status, performance, and schedule reports for various levels of management.
Gather project and program data from multiple sources, integrate with the Distribution Annual Capital Plan, and enable Project Managers with a single-source self-serve platform for their projects
