Job Description :Our client in Winnipeg, Manitoba is looking for an Application Solutions Consultant (React / MUI / Node.js / Kafka) to support a major technology initiative involving application development, integration, and software engineering.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Project Leader and participate throughout the full software engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, integration, and system testing.

Must Have Primary Skills :

• 8+ years of senior full-stack software development experience
• Strong experience with React, including MUI (Material UI) and Node.js
• Experience building large applications with complex API and data integration
• Strong UI/UX and front-end development skills
• Experience with component architecture and responsive UI implementation
• Ability to translate design specifications into polished user interfaces
• 7+ years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
• Hands-on experience with Kafka in complex applications
• Strong programming, debugging, prototyping, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

• Experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with GoExperience collaborating with solution designers and software developers
• Experience participating in code reviews to improve software quality and compliance
• Experience developing applications with performance and reliability requirements

Proven Experience In :

• Developing detailed work plans for software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities and delivering work within defined timelines and budgets
• Participating throughout the full software engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, source code implementation, unit testing, integration, and system testing
• Developing and maintaining large applications using React, MUI, and Node.js
• Building applications involving complex API and data integrations
• Designing and implementing reusable front-end component architectures
• Developing responsive user interfaces and translating design specifications into polished interfaces
• Applying strong UI/UX and front-end development practices
• Working with relational databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
• Using Kafka within complex application environments
• Writing structured, readable, maintainable, and efficient code
• Rapidly prototyping, implementing, testing, and debugging solutions to complex technical problems
• Collaborating with solution designers and software developers to ensure solutions meet performance and reliability requirements
• Participating in code reviews to improve software quality and compliance
• Managing competing priorities and adapting to changing project requirements and circumstances
• Demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills
• Communicating effectively with technical and project stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication
• Working effectively within compressed project timelines when required
