Job Description :Our client in Alberta is looking for a Digital Security Architect (CISSP, AWS Security Specialty,  OSCP)  

Must Have Primary Skills :
  • Translate security risks and architecture requirements into designs and guidance that engineers and delivery teams can implement.
  • Evaluate competing approaches and document options, assumptions, constraints, operational impacts and recommendations clearly
  • Work productively where legacy documentation or technical knowledge is incomplete and must be discovered and validated progressively
  • Facilitate technical decisions across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, application teams and external partners
  • Communicate security and risk concepts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders and maintain effective relationships across teams
  • Apply relevant security frameworks and controls, including NIST CSF and CIS Controls, in a practical delivery context
  • Balance hands-on technical depth with architectural judgment, prioritization, service continuity and knowledge transfer.

Proven Experience In :
  • Seven or more years of cybersecurity experience, with substantial work in security architecture, network and application security, IT infrastructure and security operations.
  • Demonstrated security architecture delivery in complex legacy technology, remediation, transformation or stabilization initiatives, including live production environments.
  • Experience assessing current-state environments and designing practical transitions to a safer target state, including compensating controls where full remediation is not immediately feasible.
  • Experience with network segmentation or isolation, application and infrastructure security, vulnerability and risk treatment, and the operational effects of production change
  • • Experience producing solution designs, architecture decisions, implementation patterns, technical requirements and security acceptance criteria across multiple teams and workstreams.
  • • Experience with security infrastructure such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM and log management technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS security architecture and services, including relevant tools such as AWS WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty and Inspector
  • A four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field is an advantage. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, AWS Security Specialty or OSCP are assets
