Job Description :Our Client in Calgary is looking for Application Developer. 
 We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to join an established organization in Calgary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting business applications, databases, and system integrations using Microsoft technologies.

Must Have Primary Skills :

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET and Microsoft development technologies.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, stored procedures, views, and query optimization.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and web services.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise application integrations.
• Proficiency with GitHub, including source control, branching, pull requests, code reviews, and release management.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.Ability to review, test, troubleshoot, and validate AI-generated code.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience troubleshooting production applications and resolving complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization.

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

• Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI coding agents in daily development workflows.
• Experience creating reusable AI prompts, coding conventions, and repository-level instructions.
• Experience with automated testing, test generation, and code quality tools.
• Experience providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 application support.
• Experience with application modernization and legacy system enhancements.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Experience working with external vendors and third-party system integrations.
• Experience in the energy, oilfield services, or industrial sectors.

Proven Experience In :

• Develop, maintain, and enhance business applications using C# and .NET.
• Design and support REST APIs, backend services, and system integrations.
• Work with SQL Server databases, including queries, stored procedures, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, and deployments.
• Use GitHub and AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and identify opportunities for process improvement.
