The Information Systems Department of our client is looking for the services of an SAP Project Manager to manage several smaller SAP enhancement initiatives. This role will work primarily within the IS Portfolio Support and Monitoring Office (PSMO) and will collaborate with the IS teams, as well as various business groups to implement several SAP based solutions. As a project manager this role’s responsibilities include coordinating the effort of team members and third-party contractors, as well as defining the project’s objectives and overseeing quality control throughout the project life cycle.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 7+ years of Project Management experience, with a significant portion of that managing SAP
projects
- Experience with SAP FICO and SAP CRM
- Strong financial background, with a CMA or CGA designation preferred
- Strong and proven understanding of SAP management of change
- Ability to work and communicate well with technical teams and the senior leadership team
- Excellent communication (verbal, written) skills
- Excellent Microsoft Project skills.
- Microsoft SharePoint experience is a plus
DELIVERABLES:
- Write a Project Charter clearly establishing scope, schedule and cost
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet Project Charter
commitments, considering changing needs and requirements
- Identify, communicate and coordinate system outages, freezes and refreshes
- Identify resources needed and resolve resource conflicts
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Facilitate team meetings effectively
- Assist and help to coordinate and align all the work and changes related to SAP, including
Sustainment and several SAP projects
- Hold regular project status meetings
- Effectively communicate relevant project information, including following Portfolio Support and
Monitoring Office requirements
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
